SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CHIP CAPACITOR AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a solid electrolytic chip capacitor having high volumetric efficiency and exhibiting high automatic mounting performance conveniently by forming the cathode terminal, the anode terminal and the coating by potting using a same mold. CONSTITUTION:A water repellent resin layer 2, an oxide film layer, a solid electrolytic layer and a cathode conductor layer are formed sequentially on an anode body planted with an anode lead 1 thus producing a capacitor element 3. The metal surface of the anode lead is then exposed and silver paste is dripped from the bottom of a metal mold up to a height of 1/10-4/10 of the dimension of anode body by patting using a metal mold 7 and then the silver paste is thermally set to form a first conductor layer 4. Liquid epoxy resin is then dripped from the bottom of the metal mold up to a height of 2/100-12/100 of the dimension of anode body by potting and then the resin is thermaily set to form a coating 5. Subsequently, the anode is broken at the uppermost part and the silver paste is dripped from the bottom of the metal mold up to a height of 12/100-16/100 of the dimension of anode body by patting and the silver paste is thermally set to form a second conductor layer 6.
