Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To facilitate the management of a residual material and to effectively utilize the residual material for a later working operation by arraying parts so as to make the shape of the residual material be the similar figure of the original shape of a plate material or a specific shape such as a square or the like. CONSTITUTION:A diagonal line 42 is set on the plate material based on the shape of the residual material, the longitudinal direction of a product 43 is made coincident to the X direction of the plate material 41 and the arrangement area of the product 43 is decided from a work origin O in a Y direction. When arrangement inside the range is completed, whether or not the range includes the diagonal line is discriminated. When the diagonal line 42 is included in the range, the origin is moved to a point O' and X and Y directions of the plate material 41 are switched and reset. Thus, the arrangement range is set in the range where the product is not arranged on the plate material 41 for the next product 44 and the products 44 are successively arranged. At the time, since the range does not include the diagonal line 42, the X and Y directions are not changed, the arrangement range is set from the side of the origin O' for the next products 45 and they are successively arranged in the range. Thus, the residual material in the approximately similar figure of the plate material 41 remains.
