PURPOSE: To provide an improved tool to take a highly contaminated outside filter out of a control rod driving part by installing U-shape members crossing a first and a second groove holes, respectively, in a first and a second leg parts. CONSTITUTION: A tool is so designed as to slide on an end of a spud side of a control rod driving part(CRD) and as to surround an outside filter together with a shielding body 108 at the time of taking out the outside filter. In the case of using the tool, a U-shape handle 116 is inserted into guide routes 110, 112 in freely sliding way and made to be interlocked with groove holes 122, 122' of a shielding body 108 in the circumferential direction. The arms of the inserted U-shape handle 116 are engaged with the lower side of a ring flange of the outside filter and thus the outside filter is captured by the tool. After that, screws to install the outside filter are disassembled by loosening the screws through properly aligned widow in the shielding body 108. Then, at the time when the tool for taking out an outside filter is lifted up, the outside filter is taken out of the CRD.
