LINE-UP DEVICE FOR ROD-LIKE ARTICLE

PURPOSE:To automatically line up rod-like articles by retracting cylinder rods so as to lower a rod-like article which is held at its opposite ends by handling devices, and by setting the rod-like article on one of rod-like articles in the topmost one of a multistacked stage rows, which have been previously stacked in a line-up place. CONSTITUTION:When a predetermined number of packed magazines 10A are lined up in one row between front and rear handling devices 55, the front and rear air cylinders 53 are operated to simultaneously retract their piston rods 54, and accordingly, front and rear elevating beds 51 are simultaneously lowered so that the handling devices 55 which are suspended respectively from the elevating beds 51 are simultaneously lowered. Accordingly, the packed magazines 10A which are held by the handling devices 55 bridging therebetween are lowered into a container 24. Then, when they abut respectively against the upper surfaces of packed magazines in the topmost one of multi-stacked stage rows, which have been previously stacked in the container 24, the handling devices 55 are supported by holding arms 60, and accordingly, the lowering of the elevating beds 51 is stopped.
