FITTING STRUCTURE OF ELECTRODE TIP IN RESISTANCE WELDING GUN

PURPOSE:To make a fitting part replaceable by integrally joining a tapered projection made of beryllium copper alloy at the tip end of an arm and making it a fitting part of an electrode tip. CONSTITUTION:A fitting recessed part 2 is formed at the tip end face of an arm body 1 in a welding gun formed with chromium copper as a base material. The base end part of a tapered fitting projection 3 which is made of beryllium copper 25 alloy is inserted into the fitting recessed part 2 and integrally joined by brazing. An electrode tip 6 is fitted into the tapered projection 3. The projection 3 made of beryllium copper 25 alloy having a high hardness is excellent in mechanical strength and capable of suppressing the generation of bending deformation or abrasive deformation. In the case where the projection 3 is deformed like that, the projection 3 is removed and replaced, making the arm body 1 usable for a long time economically.
