Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To avoid the fault of a known method for changing gradation limited to the generation of black and white copy or the like. CONSTITUTION: This method adjusts the gradation of a photograph copying material having at least one photosensitive picture generating layer of the preliminarily decided gradation in a specific wavelength range, and a device for executing the method. In the method, exposure operated in a sensitizing range (IV) of a control layer and the following development of the copying material results in the emission of an active material for changing the gradation of the picture generating layer from at least one additional control layer of a copying material (1) having the sensitizing range (IV) outside sensitizing ranges (I, II, and III) of the picture generating layer.
