Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a pilot burner which realize sure ignition starting of a ram jet engine and successive combustion. CONSTITUTION:An outer cylinder 3 has an inflow port 1 faced to an air introduction side of a ram jet engine R, and an outflow port 2 opened into a burner 53 of the ram jet engine R. A bluff body 4 is arranged in the outer cylinder 3 near the inflow port 1, while a circulation flow passage 6 is formed between the outer cylinder 3 and the bluff body 4. A blade 7 showing a twisted angle in respect to an axis of the outer cylinder 3 is formed in the circulation passage 6. An injection nozzle 8 for pilot fuel is arranged on a rear end of the bluff body 4. An ignitor 12 for injecting flame to a combustion space 5 is provided on the outer cylinder 3, and thereby a pilot burner B is composed.
