DISC BRAKE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To stabilize breaking force by forming a pad pressing anchor face in such a way as to be parallel to the tangential direction of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:The pressing anchor face 30 in the recessed groove of a support arm 20L is tapered parallel to the tangential direction B of rotor rotation, so that a pad 12 moves along this anchor face 30 and moves almost along the rotating direction of a rotor 14. Since there is no radial movement of a rotor and the pad friction face at the braking time and idling time of the rotor 14, the rotor 14 and pad 12 come in contact always at the same contact face. Accordingly, in the case of using a new pad, there is no increase of brake drag until full wear so as to be able to generate stable braking force. Since the friction face of the pad 12 comes in contact with the rotor 14 always on the same face, braking force is stabilized without fluctuation. This enables the frictional contact of always the same parts between the braking time and idling time so as to suppress the drag of the pad.
