Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce a stress or bending moment to be generated in a pump housing when fixing screws are tightened by forming a partly cut-out portion between the screws within a bearing mounting surface in a center bearing for rotatably supporting a camshaft. CONSTITUTION:In the fixing structure 30 of a center bearing (hereinafter referred to as 'bearing') 31 in a fuel infection pump, the bearing 31 is fixed to a bearing mounting surface 23 of a cam chamber 22 inside a pump housing 21, and a pair of fixing screws 25 are tightened to fixing holes 31A of the bearing 31 and fixing holes 21A of the pump housing 21, to thus secure the bearing 31. In this case, an arcuate portion between the pair of fixing holes 31A in the bearing 31 is cut into a flat shape, thereby forming a partly cut-out portion 31B perpendicular to the center line 21B of the pump housing 21. Consequently, the contact portion between the end 31C of the partly cutout portion 31B and the pump housing 21 serves as a maximum bending moment generation unit 21D, for reducing a stress to be generated.
