INFORMATION RECORDING AND REPRODUCTION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To effectively reduce the unnecessary vibration of a spindle motor by detecting the vibration of a spindle motor and correcting a drive waveform of the spindle motor based on the vibration. CONSTITUTION:A component of fluctuation in tack pulse intervals by the vibration of a spindle motor 12 appears in an error signal 21 output from an error signal formation circuit 20, is input to a compensation circuit 22 thereby creating a first correction signal 28, and a second correction signal 29 is created through an FFT 24, an amplitude phase adjuster 25 and an adder 26. The FFT 24 performs a frequency analysis of the error signal 21 and is set in such a manner that a second correction signal 29, to which the same amplitude and reverse phase of the vibration component contained in the first correction signal 28 are given by the amplitude phase adjuster 25, can be output from the adder 26. As a result, a correction drive waveform 34, in which the vibration component of a spindle motor 12 is restricted, is obtained and the vibration of the spindle motor 12 can be reduced by supplying this correction drive waveform 34 to a motor drive circuit 13.
