PURPOSE:To easily perform various modifications including variation in size, position, etc., even after characters are inputted and displayed on a display screen. CONSTITUTION:When characters and an image are inputted through an input means A, a display control means C displays them on a display means B and when a modification indicating means D indicates various modification processes for the characters, a modification processing means E performs the modification processes. Then, a character expansion means F expands a character image matched with the modified characters as it is, or an operator visually confirm whether or not the modification result on the display means is proper or not before the expansion, and, when it is judged that the result is improper, the input cancellation means G.
