MOVABLE ROOF ONCE STOPPING MECHANISM FOR SUNROOF DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide the once stopping mechanism of a sunroof device having a short mutual engagement length in rails by making the rear end of a striker be movable to a backward protruded position from nearly the same position to a movable rail, and providing a stopper for stopping the rear end of the striker on the nearly the same position as the rear end of a fixed rail at a full-opened position. CONSTITUTION:The fore and aft movable striker 49 of a movable rail 20 abuts on a stopper 53 to be positioned at nearly the same position as the rear end of the fixed rail 19 at the time of full opening of the movable rail 20, and when the movable rail is advanced, the rear end is protruded backward by the energizing force of a spring. When the movable rail 20 reaches a once stopping position while the striker 49 is protruded backward, the striker 49 abuts on a once stopping switch 52 to operate it to stop a drive mechanism, stopping the movement of the movable rail 20. When a full-opening operation switch is operated again to advance the movable rail 20, the striker 49 maintains a condition where the once stopping switch 52 is operated on until a full-opening switch 51 is operated by a movable roof 18.
