Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a welding method capable of reducing slack in a rotatable machine component (axle). CONSTITUTION: The method includes processes in which (a) a rotatable machine component is rotated around its rotary axis, (b) the weld zone of this component is preheated, (c) a plurality of weld beads are deposited in this zone, (d) a post weld heat treatment is applied to this zone, and (e) the zone is cooled to room temperature. The processes (b)-(e) are carried out while the component is continuously rotated around its rotary axis.
