PROSTHESIS MEMBER FOR ATRIAL SEPTAL DEFECT, AND CATHETER FOR OBSTRUCTING ATRIAL SEPTAL DEFECT BY USING THIS PROSTHESIS MEMBER

PURPOSE:To provide a prosthesis member capable of surely fixing a defect part with an interatrial septum by constituting the prosthesis member from a member capable of piercing through the diaphragm in an atrial septal defect part, a member for obstructing the defect part, and a thread material for mutually connecting both. CONSTITUTION:A thread material 3 extended from a piecing member 1 is inserted through four through parts 4 formed on a substantially circular flat member 5 having a ring frame 2 on the periphery to connect the piecing member 1 to the flat member 5. One end of the thread material 3 is passed through a small hole 16 formed in the center of the piecing member 1, and fixed by a knot or clamp. After the piecing member 1 is pieced through the diaphragm 15 in a defect position, the flat member 5 is moved in the direction of the piecing member 1 by a long cavity catheter to block the interacuricular septal defect hole by the flat member 5. As a fixing tool for the flat member 5 with the diaphragm 15 and the piecing member 1, a protruding part 13 is used, and it is fitted to a ring recessed part 14 installed to the through part 4 of the flat member, whereby the movement of the thread material 3 is suppressed.
