HARVESTER FOR VEGETABLE WITH FORMED HEAD

PURPOSE:To provide a harvester for a vegetable with the formed head, improved in harvesting operation accuracy and operating efficiency without damaging the vegetable with the formed head nd suitable for harvesting the vegetable with the formed head such as a cabbage, a Chinese cabbage or lettuce by installing raking in wheels in front of carrying screw conveyors. CONSTITUTION:This harvester 1 for a vegetable with the formed head is provided by installing a pair of right and left screw conveyors 6 in front of the machine body, capable of pulling out the rhizomatic part of each vegetable with the formed head vegetting in a field therefrom while rotating so as to hold the rhizomatic part from both the right and the left sides thereof with the advance of the machine body and conveying the vegetable with the formed head to the rear of the machine body, and arranging raking in wheels 11 mutually rotating and driven toward the inside in nearly the horizontal direction at the tip positions of both the screw conveyors 6. Furthermore, the raking in wheels 11 are preferably installed nearly horizontally or tilted and arranged in the shape of an inverted truncated chebrom when viewed from the front of the machine body.
