Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To improve a machine tool so as to attain a tool replacement with a mechanical expense reduced within the kinematic range of a replacing arm. CONSTITUTION: Replacing arms 56, 66 are each rotatable only around one axial line 58, 68. The replacing arms 56, 66 cooperate with separate transfer positions 40, 41, respectively. The transfer positions 40, 41 are located at different distances from the attachment/detachment position. A tool replacing apparatus further comprises a transfer device for transferring a tool between the attachment/detachment position and the selected one of the transfer positions 40, 41.
