RECTILINEAR DISPLACEMENT MEASURING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To prevent water, cutting oil and the like from passing a sleeve cut- out part to infiltrate into the inside along a screw shaft so as to prevent malfunction of an electric circuit by covering the sleeve around a screw shaft of a spindle with a tube member, and tightly sticking both ends thereof to the sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A cut-out part 15, male screw 18 and tapered nut 17 of sleeve main body 13A are covered with a tube member 51, and both ends thereof are pressed to the sleeve 13 by a covering means 55 composed of elastic rings 54A, 54B. The tube member 51, made of a thermosetting shrinking material such as polyolefine and PCV, is fitted after adjusting a position thereof with respect to the tapered nut 17 and the sleeve main body 13A, and shrunk by heating to be tightly fitted. Also, a seal tape 56 as a spacer is interposed between the male screw 18 and the tapered nut 17 so as to prevent infiltration of liquid between the screw shaft 21 and the inner sleeve 13. With this constitution, malfunction of an electric circuit being a cause of impossible measurement and measurement error can be prevented.
