DEVICE FOR PRODUCING ELECTROLYZED WATER

PURPOSE:To produce simultaneously alkaline and acidic ionized water, or to produce alkaline water in large quantities by one device for producing electrolyzed water, by constituting each electrolyzer of the device for producing an electrolyzed water having plural electrolyzers so that switching between series arrangement and parallel arrangement is possible. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyzers 6, 10 having electrolyzed water discharge pipes of two systems of cathode side discharge pipes 16, 19 and anode side discharge pipes 17, 20, and communication pipes 34, 36, 38 for communicating water supply pipes of the respective electrolyzers 6, 10 with each other, the cathode side discharge pipes 16, 19 with each other and the anode side discharge pipes 17, 20 with each other are provided, respectively. When both alkaline ionized water and strongly acidic ionized water are formed at the same time, selenoid valves 35, 37, 39 are closed and the electrolyzers 6, 10 are made to be arranged in series in two stages. On the other hand, when alkaline water is formed in large quantities, solenoid valves 25, 39 are opened, and feed water from a water supply pipe 15 is fed to the respective electrolyzers 6, 10, and the solenoid valves 35, 37 are opened and a drain solenoid valve 26 is closed to switch the electrolyzers 6, 10 to be parallelly arranged, and alkaline ionized water is discharged from discharge pipes 15, 19.
