Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in the life of a relay contact by a method wherein, when a motor is controlled to stop, a bidirectional switching element is controlled in such a way that no current is supplied and the bidirectional switching element is controlled in such a way that a half-wave current is applied after the elapse of a prescribed time in which the relay contact openes. CONSTITUTION:When the stop of a motor is requested, a driving signal to open a relay contact 8 is supplied to a relay drive circuit 19, a full-wave current to a capacitor motor 5 stops, and the counting operating of a timer 15 starts. After that, no current is applied to the motor 5 until a counted value becomes a prescribed value. During this time, the opening operation of the relay contact 8 is completed. When the counted value becomes the prescribed value or higher, a bidirectional switching element 7 is controlled, and the supply of a half-wave current to the motor 5 starts. Thereby, the motor 5 is controlled to stop. Thereby, it is possible to prevent a drop in the life of the relay contact 8.
