FRAME SYNCHRONIZING METHOD

PURPOSE:To surely conduct frame synchronization by continuing the collation of a frame synchronization pattern for received data till synchronizing signal data are lost when the result of collation of the frame synchronization pattern is unmatched after bit synchronization. CONSTITUTION:An FM receiver is provided with a reception antenna 1, an FM reception circuit 2, a control circuit 3, a shift register 4 and a ROM 5, also a reception data analysis circuit 6 in addition. Then bit synchronization is established while sensing a carrier with a bit synchronizing signal and whether or not a pattern of received data just after a bit synchronizing signal is matched with a predetermined data pattern is collated to decide frame synchronization. Every time of reception of one bit after the establishment of bit synchronization, the control circuit 3 collates the received data with the frame synchronization pattern. When the result of collation indicates unmatch, the received data analysis circuit 6 judges whether or not the bit synchronizing signal is included in the received data to decide the stop or continuance of frame synchronization processing.
