Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain the photographic element having resistance to dye crystallization and leucocyan dye formation by forming a support for holding a silver halide emulsion and a 2-phenyl-carbamoyl-1-naphthol type image controlling coupler for forming a specified cyan dye. CONSTITUTION: This photographic element has the support for holding at least one kind of silver halide emulsion and at least one kind of cyan dye forming 2-phenyl carbamoyl-1-naphthol type image controlling coupler represented by the formula in which Z is a development inhibitor group; R1 is an alkoxy or phenoxy group or a halogen atom; R2 is an alkyl or akoxycarbonyl group or a halogen atom or the like, and when R2 is a halogen atom, R1 is an alkoxy group or the like, and when R2 is an alkoxycarbonyl group, R1 is an alkoxy group, and Z is a inhibitor part except a 2-carboxy-phenylthio group, and R3 is an H atom, and the total carbon number of R1 -R3 is >=3.
