INSPECTION AND SORTING OF CONTAINER

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus which is capable of selectively sorting the molded containers successively moving in a predetermined route by the least inspection station by display and identification. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus (10) for inspecting and sorting molded containers (C), such as glass bottles, includes the finished product inspection station (14) which inspects the containers successively transported along the predetermined route, identifies the sorted containers from the route on the basis of the original container molds and provides electric signals to display such containers. A conveyor (28) is arranged adjacently to the container route of the finished product inspection station and responds to the electronic control signal for selectively removing the containers from the route when the containers pass near the conveyor. A timer (98) receives the electric signal from the inspection station and impresses the electronic control signal to the conveyor after the time lag harmonized with the distance between the inspection station and the conveyor and the progression speed of the containers along the route between the inspection station and the conveyor.
