METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CENTERING NOZZLE OF LASER BEAM MACHINE

PURPOSE:To enable the centering a nozzle without through visual observation. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle holder 3 is allowed to move to the right against a leaf spring 8 by lowering a wedge body 9 with the operation of a motor 13 from a state in which a laser beam is blocked off by the inner peripheral surface 5b of a nozzle 5 to a position where the laser beam is blocked off by another inner peripheral surface 5a. The nozzle positions obtained when the intensity of working light becomes a specific standard value by irradiating a work with the laser beam are detected by a nozzle position detection device 18, and the positions of the center lines of the two nozzle positions are found. This is performed as to the X axis and the Y axis, and the center of the nozzle 5 is allowed to align with the intersection of the center lines of both axes by moving the nozzle 5.
