CANNED MOTOR AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PURPOSE:To reduce the destruction and contact sound of a canned motor caused by the deformation and vibration of the rotor can of the canned motor by eliminating the clearance between the rotor can and rotor section of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A gentle tapered section is formed on the outer periphery of a rotor section 100 composed of a rotor iron core 12 provided with a rotor conductor 13 and rotor side plates 16 fitted to both ends of the iron core 12 so that the plates 16 can face each other and a rotor can 15 which is used for surrounding the section 100 is press-fitted on the section 100 by expansion from the smaller diameter (d) side of the tapered section.
