PRIVATE PAPER FOR INK JET RECORDING

PURPOSE:To enhance the drying speed of ink, and give a high image durability to the paper exclusive for ink jet recording concerned by a method wherein ink absorbing layer covering support contains hollow porous resin particles mainly made of polyester, which contains cationic group prevailing over the specified range. CONSTITUTION:In the private paper for ink jet recording concerned, which is produced by covering support with ink absorbing layer, the ink absorbing layer contains hollow porous resin particle mainly made of polyester, which contains cationic group prevailing over the range of 20-2,000eq./ton. The hollow porous polyester particle is mainly made of crosslinked resin prepared by polymerizing the mixture of 1-95wt.% of polyester resin, which is obtained by condensing polyvalent carboxylic acid component containing preferably 5mol% or more of unsaturated polyvalent carboxylic acid and polyhydric alcohol component and contains cationic group prevailing over the range of 20-2,000eq./ton, and 5-99wt.% of vinyl-based monomer and being subjected to hollowing treatment, which is carried out through thermal water absorbing and extracting action.
