Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an adsorbent of a simple structure having high adsorbing performance for both of bad odorous components of aldehydes and ammonia and to obtain an air purifying filter unit having excellent adsorption performance for aldehydes and ammonia with little pressure loss and low production cost. CONSTITUTION:(1) Aminobenzene sulfonic acid is added by 3-50% to an activated carbon material having 0.25-1.1cc/g pore volume of pores having 10-100Angstrom pore diameter. (2) Activated carbon fibers having 0.25-1.1cc/g pore volume of pores having 10-100Angstrom pore diameter to which aminobenzene sulfonic acid is added by 3-50wt.% are electrically flocculated to a porous base body to obtain the air purifying filter unit.
