EXPANSION CATHETER

PURPOSE:To provide the expansion catheter capable of exhibiting a physical expansion function by a catheter with an expander and having a liquid chemical dosing function in combination by providing the catheter with the shrinkable or foldable expander and a liquid chemical permeable film body to cover the outer side thereof and permeating the chemical via this film body simultaneously with expansion of the expander. CONSTITUTION:This expansion catheter has a tube body 2, a first lumen 3 formed at this tube body 2, the expander 6 which is disposed at the front end of the tube body 2, is communicated with the first lumen 3 and is expandable as well as shrinkable and foldable, the liquid chemical permeable film body 7 which is disposed at the tube body 2 so as to cover the outer side of the expander 6 and a second lumen 4 which is formed at the tube body 2 and is communicated with the space formed between the film body 7 and the expander 6. The liquid chemical is fed through the second lumen 4 and fluid for expansion is fed into the expander 6 through the first lumen 3 to expand the expander 6 in the state that the front end of the tube body 2 exists in a constricted part.
