ENDOSCOPE WITH MEASURING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To achieve higher resolutions of a distance to an observation part and the position thereof. CONSTITUTION:An angle is set for the direction of irradiation with a refractor 4 so that a beam-like measuring light L1 is askew to the irradiating direction of an illumination light L2 expanding in a sensor while a spot by the measuring light L1 is held within a photographing range by an illumination light L2. As a result, the position of the spot of the measuring light moves from the top to the bottom of an observation screen so that a light receiving area of a photographing system 7 becomes wider than that in the case of parallel light. This structure enables the lessening of the variation of a distance per pixel of the photographing system 7 thereby improving the detection capacity of changes associated with a distance to the observation part from the tip of an endoscope inserting part.
