ARRAY ANTENNA SYSTEM FOR MICROWAVE

PURPOSE:To reduce the S/N by arranging transmission reception slot antennas located side by side on a line to form a slot antenna and arranging a signal source circuit and a reception circuit to the slot antenna at opposite sides to each other so as to obtain the same antenna element interval as the case of transmission and reception with one slot antenna element regardless of different provision of transmission and reception slot antenna elements. CONSTITUTION:A microwave is sent / received sequentially by each channel and the transmission reception is controlled by switches 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b. The switch operation is divided into groups of (1,5,9, 13), (2,6,10,14), (3,7,11,15) and (4,8,12,16) channels, the switches 10a, 11a in the group are simultaneously turned on/off to select groups 1g-4g thereby selecting each channel alternatively. Thus, separate transmission reception slot antenna elements are employed but the element interval the same as the case of transmission reception with one element is attained.
