Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide cell structure in which an electrode area is effectively utilized and reaction efficiency is enhanced by bringing an anode and a cathode arranged on both sides of an electrolyte in contact with an interconnector in a line or a point. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate type high temperature water vapor electrolytic cell uses yettria stabilized zirconia as a solid electrolyte, and a cathode 12 and an anode 13 are arranged on both sides of the solid electrolyte, then they are interposed between interconnectors 14 to form a junction body. A trapezoid notch 101 is installed at the top of a ridge 16 of the interconnector 14 and a plurality of lateral holes 102 are installed on the side surface of the ridge 16. The interconnector 14 comes in contact with the cathode 12 and the anode 12 in a line, and the supply of gas or water vapor and the exhaust of generated gas are smoothly performed. Conductive paste 103 which becomes porous at high temperature is filled in the notch 101 to ensure an electrical conductive path.
