TILTING TAPPING TYPE INDUCTION FURNACE

PURPOSE:To obtain safety in a space between a tilting deck and a stationary deck which is largely opened when an induction furnace is tilted without dropping an operator, etc. CONSTITUTION:A tilting deck 3 is fixed to a top of an induction furnace 1 having an induction coil and a yoke on a periphery of a crucible, and tilted around a tilting shaft 2 near one side 3a. A stationary deck 4 is disposed at the deck 3 through a gap. A side guard 11 is fixed to a side edge 3c of the deck 3 through the one side 3a, and can protrude from or be submerged in the deck 4. A gear guard 12 is disposed at a rear edge 3b of the deck 3 opposed to the one side 3a, can protrude from or be submerged in the deck 4 by an underfloor cylinder 13, and is related to tilting R by a limit switch, etc. A space between the deck 3 and the deck 4 which is largely opened when the furnace 1 is tilted is surrounded by the guard 12 and the guard 11.
