LUMINAIRE CORRECTION METHOD AND CAMERA DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the luminance correction method correcting picture data through the use of a gain obtained as a correction value of a luminance independently of a color of an object received as picture data and the camera device adopting the correction method. CONSTITUTION:A CCD camera 1 picking up a picture of an object provides an output of a picture of the object painted in a predetermined color as picture data. A camera controller 2 detects a luminance of the object painted in the predetermined color in the picture data to obtain a gain as a correction value with respect to the luminance of the entire picture data based on the detected luminance. The picture data are corrected by multiplying the obtained gain with the picture data and the corrected data are provided as an output.
