EARTHQUAKE-PROOF SUPPORTING APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL PUMP

PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive stress from acting to a pressure vessel or an internal pump even when a mechanical snubber is adhered, by providing a coupling releasing means which is coupled to an earthquake-proof device and releases coupling when an excessive load is added. CONSTITUTION:An earthquake-proof supporting apparatus 15 fixes one end of a mechanical snubber 13 to the lower end of a pump casing 5 via a bendable mounting metal fitting 16, and the other end of the snubber 13 to a coupling releasing means 15a via a bolt 17. The coupling releasing means 15a consists of a holder 18 and a shaft 19 which are coupled each other by a shear pin 20. Moreover, a load cell 23 is set in the shaft 19, which is secured to a pedestal 14 of a containment via a mounting metal fitting 24. When the mechanical snubber 13 sticks, the load cell 23 outputs an electric signal to inform the operator before an excessive stress is impressed to the pump casing 5. Further, when the load reaches a set value, the shear pin 20 is broken to release the coupling releasing means 15a.
