Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To effectively use data of microorganism for operational management by image-processing image signals from an image pick-up device for picking up an image of microorganism in liquid, and by enabling water to be tested is replaced in accordance with a signal from a microorganism recognizing and measuring device. CONSTITUTION:Inflow sewage flows into aeration tanks 110a, 110b after large dust is settled and removed therefrom in settling sumps 100a, 100b. Waste to be tested is fed into a common water tank 180 from the aeration tanks 110a, 110b through a sludge conveying pipe 191. An image pick-up device 200 comprises an underwater microscope, and is submerged in the liquid in the water tank 180, and a picked-up image signal is delivered to a filed monitor 340 through a field control panel 330, and is also delivered to an image processing device 400 through the control panel 330 and a central control panel 300. The device 400 processes an image signal indicating an magnified image of microorganism so as to identify a kind of microorganism, and calculates a size and a number thereof while delivers an abnormal signal to a control circuit 500.
