Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To simply compute the course of a moving body by a method wherein an acceleration which is found by an axle rotational pulse generator and the indication value of an accelerometer which is directed to an advance direction are used. CONSTITUTION:When a train 1 runs on a gradient at an angle theta, an acceleration which is found by an axle rotational pulse generator 2 is designated as alpha, the indication value of an accelerometer 3 is designated as alpha' and a gravity acceleration is designated as (g). Then, alpha' becomes the sum of component forces in the gradient direction of alpha and (g), and alpha'=alpha+g.sin theta. The gradient theta can be computed on the basis of this expression. In this manner, the gradient of the course of a moving body can be detected with high accuracy and continuously without newly mounting an expensive gyro. In addition, when the acceleration in the advance direction of the moving body is found on the basis of a gradient which has been found in advance and of the accelerometer 3, the glide and the spin in the rotation of an axle can be corrected precisely.
