ELEVATOR TYPE FIRE EXTINGUISHING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To efficiently extinguish a fire with a small amount of water via an access to the origin thereof. CONSTITUTION:An elevator device 18 is laid op the ceiling 12 of a multi-purpose dome 10. The device 18 is elevated by suspending a seat 14. The seat 14 is provided with a discharge nozzle 44 in such state as rotatable via a turning device 30, and water can be discharged from an upper level toward the origin of a fire. Thus, water is not discharged horizontally but downward with the nozzle 44 kept near the origin of a fire. A fire can, therefore, be efficiently extinguished by means of a small fire extinguishing apparatus. Also, water discharge begins, as soon as the nozzle 44 comes out of a smoke layer and, therefore, ideal firefighting activities can be undertaken without disturbing smoke stagnating at an upper level.
