Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the infiltration of a developer on the cut end face of a photographic printing paper using a substrate obtained by coating both sides of a base paper with a polyolefin resin film. CONSTITUTION:The reaction product of an aliphatic oxyacid and a monohydric alcohol of the 8-24C alkyl or alkenyl and/or an amine of 4-24C alkyl or alkenyl, or 1-24C alkyl or 3-24C alkenyl, or hydrogen as the substituent, is incorporated into the base paper. Consequently, the infiltration of a developer from the cut end face of the substrate for photographic printing paper is prevented.
