FOOT MODEL CARRIAGE

PURPOSE:To simplify the temporary fitting of socks, the increasing fitting of the socks, the modification of the toe seams of the socks, etc., by maintaining respective foot models at an equal distance and in a state rectangular to a travel direction when a foot model carriage is opened, and tightly closing the foot models in a state rectangular to the travel direction when the foot model carriage is closed. CONSTITUTION:In a machine for finishing socks, plural horizontally foldable travel members H are arranged in parallel, and the ends of foot model-supporting members I are rotatably and longitudinally movably connected over the longitudinal ends of the members H. Distance-controlling members J are located in spaces formed in the crossing parts between both the members H and I to form a foot model carriage. The respective foot models 1 are stopped in a collected state at the positions of a set chamber, a drying chamber and a pickup section arranged along a track 3, and in a temporarily fitting section and a fitting-increasing section, the guide member 5 of the top travel plate 4a of the travel members H is engaged with a tine located on endless chain to open the respective foot models 1 and an subsequently again close the foot models in a collected state on the front of the set chamber. The respective foot models 1 are held in the state rectangular to the travel direction in every cases.
