Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a thin film for transfer printing wherein swelling softening time when floated on a water surface is short; time until transfer can be started is also short; an intensive gel film strength is provided; a speed when a material to be transferred is pushed in can be extremely enhanced; i.e., an industrial property is extremely raised so that the transfer can be carried out at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A thin film for transfer printing is composed of an at most 35mum thickness film of a mixture of 30:70-70:30 in a ratio by wt. between ultrahigh polymerization degree polyvinyl alcohol resin (a) of at least 3200 mean degree of polymerization and 65-95mol% mean degree of saponification and polyvinyl alcohol resin (b) of under 3200 mean degree of polymerization and 65-95mol% mean degree of saponification.
