POWDER SEPARATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To use inverted type elements and eliminate the necessity of a sturdy suspension device by disposing in upright filter elements on an element mounting section. CONSTITUTION:A mounting section 4 of a powder separation device 1 is formed on the side of a lower section in a casing 2, and a flat box type filter element 3 of a self-supporting porous material is disposed in upright on the mounting section 4. The periphery of an opening at the lower end of the filter element 3 is fixed on the mounting section 4, and the fixed section is sealed. The mounting section 4 is retained on a separate gas exhaust pipe 5 from one side to the other side below a side wall of the casing 2, and the opening of the filter element 3 is made to communicate with the gas exhaust pipe 5. A strong handing device is not required by the arrangement, and the filter space per floor area can be enlarged.
