Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To hold the distribution of charged material the same as that at the time of stationary operation by presetting the inclining angle of a swing chute according to each stock level and automatically changing the inclining angle of the swing chute at the time of varying the stock level. CONSTITUTION:The stock level of the raw material is divided into a prescribed interval and an inclining angle table corresponding to each level is prepared beforehand and the inclining angle of the swing chute 1 is set so as to select and change the inclining angle suitable for the present stock level. The variation in level (e.g. level difference H-H1) of the charged material 2 in a furnace is detected with a sounding meter 3 and this detected level variation is defined as the descending quantity of the charged material 2. Based on the descending quantity, even if the fall point A of the raw material before descending changes to the stock line level of S2, the inclining angle thetaA of the swing chute 1 is changed to thetaB to become the B point in the same position in the furnace axial direction and the raw material is charged. By this method, the charge of the raw material is executed so that the distribution of the charged material becomes the same as that at the time of the stationary operation.
