CONDENSED PHENOL DERIVATIVE AND MEDICINE CONTAINING THE DERIVATIVE AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE:To obtain the compound useful as a drug having a thromboxane A2-synthesizing enzyme-inhibiting action, a 5-lipoxygenaseinhibiting action and/or an active oxygen-scavenging action. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R , R are H, a halogen, CF3, CN, (substituted) alkyl, alkoxy, COOH, etc.; A is an alkylene, alkenylene, oxyalkylene, etc.; B is a nitrogen-containing monocyclic heterocyclic group; G is OR A, NR BR C (R A, R B, R C each is H, an alkyl, acyl, etc.,); R , R are H, an alkyl, phenylalkyl, etc.; (n) is 1-3]. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (X is a releasable group; R, R are the same as R , R ; R A is a 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkoxyalkyl, etc.; Aa is a 1-8C alkylene, 2-8C alkenylene) with a compound of the formula: H-B (B is the same as B) in a solvent (e.g. benzene) at 80-150 deg.C. The compound of formula I is useful for preventing and treating thrombosis, arterioscelerosis, ischemic cardiac and cerebral diseases, bronchial asthma, inflammatory diseases, rheumatism, arthrities, gout, psoriasis, etc.
