Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide an overcharge preventing circuit having a circuit configuration in which a short-circuit at the time of operating to prevent overcharge does not affect influence to sensing of a sunset in a structure for preventing overcharge by a short-circuit between terminals of a solar bell. CONSTITUTION:The overcharge preventing circuit of a storage battery for a solar cell comprises a diode disposed between the solar cell 1 and the battery 6 and connected at its anode to a terminal of a high potential side of the cell 1 and at its cathode to a terminal of a low potential side of the cell through a switch 4, a resistor 3 connected in parallel with the diode, and means for controlling switching of the switch 4. Control means 7 so controls the switch 4 as to close it when a voltage (Vref1) at which the battery 6 becomes overcharged is reached and as to open the switch 4 when a terminal voltage of the resistor 3 is a set value or less (Vref2).
