MANUFACTURE OF SHIELDED TAPE CABLE

PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacture of a shielded tape cable, in which a grounding drain wire for use against noises and shielding foil connected to the drain wire are connected together without any special machining and the manufacture can be automated. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of rectangular signal conductors 2 aligned at predetermined intervals are all coated at their upper and lower sides with insulating films A and B each of which is provided with a window portion 5 perpendicular to the direction in which the rectangular signal conductors 2 are aligned. A drain wire 3 is provided along the rectangular signal conductors 2 on the outside of either the insulating film A or B and is positioned and secured to a reinforcing plate 4 mounted on the window portion 5, and a shielding tape 7 provided with shielding foil 10 is stuck over the drain wire 3 and the insulating films A and B.
