POWDER SEPARATING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To easily wash and dry a filter element in a device where powder is separated through the filter element to purify gas by making the filter element of a porous material and installing a spray washer on the gas feeding side. CONSTITUTION:A top plate 5 which is above a gas feeding chamber 14 forms a partition separating the gas feeding part 14 of a powder separating device and a purified gas chamber. Filter elements 3 are fitted to the top plate 5 through fitting members 10, and washing pipes 7 of a spray washing device 2 are laterally arranged between the elements 3. Liquid and/or gas are uniformly jetted to the surface of the elements 3 on both sides from jet holes 8 of the washing pipes 7 to wash the elements 3. The filter element 3 is formed of a porous formed body which powder of metal or synthetic resin is sintered to form, or of a porous formed body which fiber of glass or synthetic resin is laminated in the form of felt and the laminated body is sintered.
