Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To manufacture a fuel electrode for a solid electrolyte type electrolytic cell for use in high temp. water vapor electrolysis or a solid electrolyte type fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:A solid solution prepared from a mixture of NiO and MgAl2O4 by l subjecting it to a heat treatment is, if necessary upon mixing with stabilized ZrO2 and crushing, dispersed in a solvent to generate a slurry. This slurry is applied to one surface of a solid electrolyte of ZrO2 type, followed by a drying process, baking in the air, and a heat treatment in a reductive atmosphere, and thus a fuel electrode for a solid electrolyte type electrolytic cell is produced.
