Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of receiving and displaying an interface signal having the resolution different from the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 101 outputs displaying data of 1120 pixels X 780 lines. A liquid crystal panel 7 has displaying dots of 1024 pixels X 768 lines smaller than the resolution. The display screen of the liquid crystal panel 7 is composed of linearly arranged plural pixels. A data converting part 4 converts the displaying data of 1120 pixels X 780 lines into the displaying data of 1024 pixels X 768 lines. When the resolution of the display data is judged to be different from the resolution of the liquid crystal display, a liquid crystal display device capable of multi-scan display is realized by providing a data converting part 4 for making the resolving power of the display data coincident with the resolution of the liquid crystal display by expanding or compressing the display data.
