Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide exchanging work method of the main rope of an elevator or capable of exchanging a new rope with the existing rope of a counter weight without setting any scaffolding in a pit. CONSTITUTION:A car 1 is operated to the lowest floor and one end of a wire rope 10 is attached to the bottom end of the car 1. Then the car 1 is operated to the top floor and the wire rope 10 is hung down in an elevator shaft so as to make it as a work rope when the main rope is exchanged with a new one.
