Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To surely detect insulating deterioration by examining the electric conductivity of an earth side external semi-conductive rubber fitting part adjacent to an insulating layer of a multipoint connecting element of a distributing high-potential aerial cable. CONSTITUTION:A fitting part of a multipoint connecting element of a distributing aerial cable engages the left side connecting element main body with the right side branch terminal to be connected. The connecting element main body is formed by sequentially coating the central connecting element internal conductor 2, a connecting element main body internal semiconductive layer 5, a connecting element main body insulating layer 6 and a connecting element main body internal semiconductive layer 7 in a cylindrical connecting element enclosure 8. The branch terminal is formed by coating the central branch terminal body 1 with a branch terminal insulator 3 and a branch terminal external semiconductive layer 4. The conductor 2 and the terminal 1 are fitted and connected to each other. As a layer 6 and a connecting element main body internal semiconducting condition in a sound connecting element, the condition of electric conductivity of the semiconductive layer 7 is examined, and if the electric conductivity is lowered, it is judged that the material of a fitting part interface is alterated and insulation is deteriorated.
