AUTOMATIC WAREHOUSE

PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a space as a required receiving capacity is secured by setting up article carrying in and out positions so that they are laterally parallel to a receiving rack, and one of them is positioned about right above the other. CONSTITUTION:An article carrying in position a is arrangedly provided in the left lower part of W first receiving rack 12, and an article carrying out position B is arrangedly provided about right above the article carrying in position A away as far as a fixed distance. A part of a plurality of receiving racks 10 belonging to the first receiving rack 12 is protrusively provided between the article carrying in and out positions A, B. Since the positions A, B and the receiving racks are compactly arranged in this way, the right and left moving ranges of an article putting in and out body 100 in the case of the carrying in and out of the article 20 can be lessened. Thus, an installing space for the receiving rack 12 can be reduced as a required receiving capacity is secured, and a space inside a warehouse can therefore effectively utilized.
